Participants in this research were the general public aged over 16 years. A total of 200 respondents were obtained through convenience sampling techniques. The measuring instruments used in this research are the social acceptance scale (SAS), environmental awareness scale (EAS), and willingness to pay scale (WTPS). The analysis technique used in this research uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and path analysis tests. The results of this study show that social acceptance of waste to energy cannot play a significant role as a mediator in the relationship between environmental awareness and willingness to pay for waste to energy. Other findings in this research are that environmental awareness has a significant direct effect on social acceptance of waste to energy, environmental awareness directly affects willingness to pay for waste to energy, and social acceptance of waste to energy does not affect willingness to pay for waste to energy. Suggestions for further research could deepen further into what factors can influence the willingness to pay for waste to energy.</p> Silverius Y Soeharso, Seta A Wicaksana Copyright (c) 2024 Silverius Y Soeharso, Seta A Wicaksana https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/rsfconferenceseries1/article/view/905 Tue, 12 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Role of Narcissism on Problematic Social Media Use in Emerging Adulthood Instagram Users https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/rsfconferenceseries1/article/view/908 <p>The increasing use of social media, particularly among emerging adults, has brought attention to the issue of problematic social media use (PSMU). The participants of this study were active Instagram users aged 18 to 25 years. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. This study used convenience sampling and obtained 224 participants. The measuring instruments used in this study were the Narcissistic Admiration and Rivalry Questionnaire (NARQ) to measure narcissism variables in each dimension and the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) to measure problematic social media use variables. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that narcissism in the dimensions of admiration and rivalry dimensions (p&lt;0.05) plays a significant and positive role in problematic social media use by emerging adulthood individuals who use Instagram.
