https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/588

Generally, frozen food businesses have experienced a huge demand for their products since the pandemic began as consumers were stocking up on frozen foods to reduce close contact with others. The popularity of international food including Japanese food among Muslims and non-Muslims are growing in Malaysia, developing a Japanese cuisine community. However, strong competition in the food industry especially in the frozen food market may not be easy for Japan-made frozen foods to achieve a competitive position in the Malaysian market. Hence, this study aims to investigate the role of intrinsic factors (brand reputation, price perception, Halal label and product information) and extrinsic factors (convenience, health consciousness, food quality and social influence) on attitude towards Japanese frozen food. The findings show that brand reputation, Halal label, and food quality were positively related to attitude whereas, health consciousness was negatively associated with attitude. The outcome of this research is expected to provide insights to Japanese frozen food manufacturers on the appropriate marketing strategies to be adopted to penetrate into the Malaysian frozen food market, which is expanding rapidly at present.
Nor Asiah OmarAishath LahathMuhamad Azrin NazriSiti Ngayesah Ab Hamid

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/590

Underpinned on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and cognition-affect-behavior (CAB) model, the present undertaking aims to examine the factors affecting the perceived satisfaction of users towards mobile wallet services, and how perceived satisfaction leads to the intention to recommend the said technology to others. Using purposive sampling, the identified respondents were composed of active users of the leading mobile wallet in the Philippines (n = 749). To measure the hypothesized relationships, structural equation modelling via partial least squares was utilized. The results reveal that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and attitude have a significant effect on mobile wallet users’ perceived satisfaction. It was also found that perceived satisfaction and trust translate to users’ intention to recommend mobile wallets to others. Moreover, perceived satisfaction and trust were identified to be significantly and directly related. Regarding mediation analysis, the results show that trust has an indirect effect on the relationship between perceived satisfaction and intention to recommend. Similarly, the results showed the mediating role of perceived satisfaction on the links between the exogenous variables – perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and attitude, and intention to recommend (endogenous variable). And lastly, it was found that technological stress and social influence do not moderate the link between perceived satisfaction and intention to recommend.
Jean Paolo G Lacap

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/592

The ease of ordering snacks through online applications after the COVID-19 pandemic makes it difficult for parents to control the halal snacks consumed by their children. In fact, there are still many parents who do not understand what halal snacks are like. Whereas the knowledge and behavior of parents greatly influence the way children choose whatever snacks to consume. This community service activity is expected to increase understanding of the role of parents in familiarizing children with halal snacks. The methods are: a) the lecture method, used to convey knowledge about changes in the halal logo in Indonesia, the urgency, ways, and creative media to familiarize children with halal snacks; b) the question and answer method, used to provide feedback to parents as well as to get parents' feedback on the material that has been delivered during the activity; (3) the practical method, used to practice making a variety of simple creative media that can easily familiarize halal snacks on child. The results of this activity are: (1) parents' enthusiasm is very high; (2) parents' knowledge about ways and creative media to familiarize halal snacks increased, in the high category, seen from the average pretest 5.74 and the average posttest 9.0. The suggestion from this service activity is that the committee should not only invite parents but also invite their children together. This is to create a bond between parents and children in implementing the consumption of halal products in the area closest to the child.
Sisca WulandariEdi SumatirtaSiti Fatimatul Zuhro

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/593

Real-time PCR was employed in this study to determine whether gelatine items from nearby marketplaces contained porcine DNA. The mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase subunit 5 (MT-ND5) gene from pigs (Sus scrofa) was the subject of oligonucleotide primer design; the forward and the reverse primer sequences produced 161bp amplicon. SYBR Green fluorescent dye was used to detect swine DNA in samples of 22 different types of gelatine products, 12 of which had labels identifying their sources and indicating their certification as Halal, and the remaining 10 had neither labels nor certification information. The 40 cycles of positive amplication with a Ct value of 19.81 served as the criterion for determining the specificity of the primers. In this work, the detection threshold for porcine DNA is set at 0.001 µg/ml. The efficiency of the PCR in this study is 91.72%, and the R2 is 0.9985, which indicates good efficiency. The 12 labelled products exhibit positive amplifications for porcine gelatine products while exhibiting negative amplifications for both bovine and fish gelatine products in labelled samples. Nine out of the ten samples of gelatine products that were tested had positive amplifications without source or Halal labelling.
Mohd Hazim YusopTean Pei LingMoh Fadzelly Abu BakarKamarul Rahim Kamarudin

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/597

The Covid-19 pandemic is driving the use of herbal extracts to treat early stages of Covid-19 symptoms, particularly in light of the increased demand for Krachai (Boesenbergia rotunda (L.) Mansf.) with significant pharmacological properties. However, the relevance of establishing extract methods is still necessary for Krachai standardization at an industrial level for continued industrial development of food and health products. The purpose of this work was to develop a unique solid phase extraction with particular recognition produced by imprinting technology on the suface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles that may enable selective absorption of pinostrobin, an active ingredient in Krachai. Pre-polymerization procedure of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) nanoparticles specific to pinostrobin was critical to computational aided-design MIP nanoparticles in this preliminary study. The molecular modeling interactions between two mixed functional monomers, methacrylic acid and vinylpyridine, in the presence of pinostrobin, a printed molecule were used by Hyperchem 7.5 software package. The complex was built and simulated in various ratios of template and functional monomer conformations in order to geometrically optimize it to the lowest energy state in the gas phase. The estimated free binding energies of each conformation were calculated using the semi-empirical PM3 simulation method. The results showed that interactions with the ratio of 1:2:2 (pinostrobin: methacrylic acid: vinylpyridine) had the maximized free binding energy when compared to interactions with other ratios. Additionally, the FT-IR approach was used to characterize the supporting nanoparticles for the surface coating of the optimized MIPs.
Acharee SuksuwanKasinee KatelekhaNajwa Yanya SantiworakunWinai Dahlan

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/598

The potential for developing a halal ecosystem is one of the leading programs in various Muslim countries globally. One of the key elements in this case is the existence of halal tourism which is also supported by medical tourism. An important factor in medical tourism is the hospital. Hospitals are the most complex services for human life and livelihood, unfortunately in Indonesia, which has a Muslim majority population; there is still a lack of awareness about developing this prospect. The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding of the five basic principles of maqasid al-sharia that must be applied in sharia hospitals as a foundation for achieving excellence in halal tourism and winning the competition for the prospect of halal ecosystems, so that countries with large Muslim populations are not only targeted market alone, but as an active actor who plays an important role. This paper is conceptual in nature. Therefore, this paper requires a follow-up to continue the concepts born from this paper to an empirical study that can deliver a concept to a complete understanding because it is matched with empirical results.
Neni Sri ImaniyatiLina JamilahTitik RespatiIndra Fajar Alamsyah

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/608

Diabetes Mellitus (DM), commonly known as diabetes, is one of the diseases that recorded high mortality rate. World Health Organization (WHO) reported in 2016, about 1.6 million deaths were directly caused by diabetes. Other studies had reported there were about 387 million diabetic patients globally in 2014. While it is expected that 145 million people with diabetes would be in the South East Asia region and 2.5 million people are in Malaysia in 2025. Based on statistics showed by International Diabetes Federation (IDF) the number of diabetic patients will rise to 700 million by 2045. This study reports on finding a new source of amylase inhibitor that contribute to minimize the percentage of people with diabetic disease in Malaysia generally and Selangor specifically. Matured and young leaves of Anacardium occidentale used in the study were extracted using aqueous extraction method. Ten grams of dried leave was dissolved in 100 ml of distilled. The mixture was filtered using Whatman’s filter paper No. 1. Active compounds extraction from Anacardium occidentale leaves using aqueous method of different concentrations, different incubation periods and different incubation temperature indicated most of the extracted sample from different types of Anacardium occidentale leaves (young and matured) revealed their effectiveness as antidiabetic. Extract from the matured leaves showed its ability to reduce amylase activity from 0.12 U/ml to 0.06 U/ml when it was incubated for 15 minutes. The amylase activity was recorded at 0.053 when it was further incubated for 30 minutes. Nonetheless, the amylase activity remains unchanged when it was further incubated for 45 and 60 minutes. On the other hand, the extract from young leaves revealed there is slight reducing in the amylase activity (0.11 U/ml) for 15 minutes incubation. However, the extract showed its ability to reduce the amylase activity to 0.107 U/ml, 0.085 U/ml and 0.062 U/ml when it was further incubated for 30, 45 and 60 minutes, respectively. It is anticipated that consuming Anacardium occidentale leaves (Cashew nuts leaves) would enhance the level of healthier community both domestically and globally which is in line with the National Vison Policy 2020 and the 4th National Mission Thrust which both aim at improving the standard and sustainability quality of Malaysians life.
Moohamad Ropaning SulongSulaiman Abdul Haq HazmanFarrah Nazuha MansorRozila Alias

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/599

Halal food and products have long been only an issue and monopoly of Muslims because they are related to religion. However, in the current era of globalization, this is a necessity among non-Muslims because, in halal food and products, there are benefits for health. Producers and consumers of halal food and products are not only Islamic countries that care, but non-Muslim secular-based countries that are Muslim minorities also make this halal issue a competitive advantage. In various non-Muslim countries are, halal food and products a promising business opportunity because of halal marketing and consumers who are Muslim and non-Muslim citizens. These facts, information, and data are reasons to research products among non-Muslims as an area of Islamic proselytizing. This descriptive research is carried out qualitatively to answer social phenomena to the enthusiasm of non-Muslim people for the needs and interests of halal food and products. The study of scientific theory in Islamic principles considers that food and products are very positive for producers and favorable without knowing religious differences. The survey results can study halal food and products based on scientific studies and from an Islamic perspective are formed and consumed by Muslim-based and non-Muslim countries. Based on this, the new paradigm of Islamic proselytizing today and in the future can be carried out and aimed at Muslims and non-Muslims as findings of this study show that halal foods and products benefit producers and consumers in adhering to religion and health benefits.
Ibdalsyah IbdalsyahAbdu Rahmat RosyadiHafiz Taqwa

Halal has caught the interest of customers worldwide, both Muslims and non-Muslims. The concepts and principles, however, were little understood, and the research was limited to Muslims. Hence, the study on the behavioral influence of halal food consumption was conducted considering two religions and the millennials. The validated and pre-tested survey instruments were distributed in selected cities and municipalities of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Philippines with a total of 536 participants. Following the standards of analysis, IBM SPSS software version 22 of the University was used to analyze the 519 valid questionnaires. Six-stages of CB-SEM was employed providing TPB models that are in good fit considering the satisfaction of measures including x² statistic, root mean square error of estimate (RMSEA), standardized root mean square residual (SRMR), normed x², comparative fit index (CFI) and parsimony normed fit index (PNFI). The measurement model was confirmed to be applicable in the local setting and the proposed structural model is significant and acceptable. The re-specification generates the knowledge, subjective norms, and attitude that are positively related and statistically significant to intention to buy. The findings revealed also that the intention to buy and all variables pertaining to it highly explained the halal food consumption of millennials. Government and schools are encouraged to collaborate to intensify the promotion on halal food products and sustain the appreciation of consumers.
Jalaloden B MarohomJulito G Fuerzas

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/604

Plant foods are rich sources of antioxidants. The objective of this study was to investigate quantities of tolal phenolic compounds and antioxidants in plants as well as applications to face mask production. There were seven selected plants, namely Indian gooseberries, torch gingers, aloe veras, cashew leaves, passion fruits, gacs, and lemongrasses. Their phenolic compound quantities were 1,028.00, 1,017.20, 1,004.40, 1,021.60, 1,014.40, 996.00, and 944.00 micrograms/liter, respectively. When each plant was boiled at 60°C for 2 minutes, it was found that the phenolic compound quantities in all plants reduced to 960.40, 948.00, 920.00, 913.00, 900.40, 897.60, and 876.80 micrograms/liter, respectively. The torch gingers were selected and used to produce face masks due to the fact that the Indian gooseberries contained too high acid quantity. If the Indian gooseberries had been selected to produce facemasks, their phenolic compounds would necessarily have been diluted, resulting in decreasing antioxidants. In terms of the torch gingers, their extract contained 58.80% of antioxidants, and their antioxidant capacity was 18.146 µmol Trolox equivalents/g. Regarding the application of the torch ginger extract for face mask production and the skin prick test of the face masks made from the extract, it was found that 10 samples did not have pricks on their forearms or they were not allergic to the torch ginger extract in the face masks. The suitable solution formula to make the face masks was 35% of the torch ginger extract and 65% of moisturizer.
Jeerawit MuninnoppamasNiaina HasamohPhattharawadee Aedtem Wipada MuninnoppamasAdul Dearamea

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/606

Many previous studies examined the relationship between Intellectual Capital (IC) and a firm’s performance, whereas most of the time, IC has been shown to affect a firm’s performance positively. However, two years during the COVID-19 pandemic differs from the ordinary years. There was a massive change in people's economic activities. Restrictions on people's movement and mobility are needed to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. Apart from causing crises in the health sector, this pandemic also causes concerns in the social and economic sectors, including MSMEs. Therefore, this research was conducted to understand the effect of IC, including Human Capital (HC), Structural Capital (SC), and Relational Capital (RC), on MSME resilience during the pandemic period. This information is essential to formulate the best support for MSMEs in the IC context. This research is quantitative research using Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 174 MSMEs in Bandung using the random sampling technique. The type of data used is cross-section data. This study found that HC and RC positively affect MSME resiliency during the pandemic, meanwhile, SC does not. This study suggests that the most appropriate form of support for MSMEs in times of crisis is to provide education and knowledge sharing which can expand the skills and knowledge of MSME businesspeople. And in addition, it is also important to support MSMEs in developing their relationships with various parties to maintain their business during the pandemic.
Irena Paramita PramonoNunung NurhayatiRoziyana binti JafriLaila Sugiarta

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/610

The development of a halal lifestyle is an indicator of the public need for halal products and services, including health services. Hospitals that provide sharia health services have differences from non-Islamic hospitals because they have a sharia concept and maqashid principles. Al-Islam Hospital Bandung has become a sharia hospital and is certified by DSN MUI, so its services must adjust sharia operational standards while still paying attention to patient satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the correlation between service quality and satisfaction of Halal Products and services in Sharia-Certified Hospitals. A cross-sectional study of 100 post-inpatient persons in Al-Islam Hospital, Bandung, Indonesia. The study used a closed questionnaire, spearman correlation test and Chi-Square bivariate-univariate analysis. The results showed that the quality of sharia health services at Al-Islam Hospital Bandung has a "good" category (56.2%), and 83% stated “very satisfied”. There was a significant relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction (Sig. 0.028). The quality of sharia-certified hospital services can increase the level of patient satisfaction.
Siska Nia IrasantiNadia SalsabilaSandy Faizal

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/611

Up to one-third of the food produced for human consumption is wasted, with negative effects on the environment, society, and the economy. The value contained in kitchen food waste is being recognized more and more, and Brunei Darussalam is among the highest in the region with a solid waste output of 1.4 kg per capita per day. However, it is estimated that only 11.3% of the food waste was recycled, with the remaining portion ending up in landfills. In this context, this paper aims to offer recommendations for the most environmentally beneficial methods of using kitchen food waste, with composting kitchen food waste producing natural, halal, eco-friendly fertilizer. Thus, a two-month experiment was conducted to produce compost-based fertilizer from kitchen food waste. The nutritional value of the plant was then ascertained by fertilizing one plant of bird's eye chillies with compost-based fertilizer (CBF) and another plant with clay-based soil (CBS). Results of this study showed that the nutrients in CBF plants consist % of Total Nitrogen, % Total Phosphorus which are all in the accepted range. Thus, it demonstrates how composting food waste from households can aid in the management of waste reduction for sustainable and a healthy environment, and circular economy.
Nor Surilawana SulaimanSiti Majidah RahimNabilah Ulfah JopryAfifah RoslanAkil Syahid MohamadHaziq Aiman Azri IrwandyNorkhairiah Hashim

2022-12-142022-12-14151218224A Repeated Teenage Pregnancy in Southernmost of Thailand
https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/613

A teenager pregnancy is a complex problem arisen in many countries, particularly in developing countries including Thailand. A more severe problem is found in a repeat teen pregnancy defined as a 2nd or more successful pregnancy for a teenage mother before the age of 20. Pattani, one of the poorest provinces in Thailand, has experienced a decreased pregnancy rate in teenagers, but the rate of repeat teen pregnancy has shown an increasing trend. This study is aimed to investigate factors associated with teenage repeat pregnancy in the province. The data between year 2016 and 2018 were retrieved from the Pattani Provincial Health Office and the number of samples is 2,259 observations. Chi-squared test and logistic regression were employed to investigate the factors related to teenage repeat pregnancy. The results show that 406 (18.0 %) cases are a repeat pregnancy. The majority of the samples are Muslim (91.2%) with 19 years old (36.9%) and 87.1 percent are not at school after finishing the primary school. Most of them had an intended pregnancy (88.6%), and 56 percent of the sample had a previous sex education, while 89.2% and 59.8% of them used a contraceptive before getting pregnant and after giving birth, respectively. The association analysis with logistic regression reveals that the factors related to a repeat teen pregnancy significant p-value less than 0.05 are age, religion, districts, contraceptive use and having a counselling after delivery.
Faisol NawaeAttachai UeranantasunNurin Dureh

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/615

Bengkel Stap One has never measured the customer satisfaction index and the measurement of the quality of motorcycle service services, as well as measuring the gap between expectations and customer perceptions. The research method used is the ServQual Method with Gap Analysis. The results of the study for the measurement of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) 74.81% fall into category 2, which shows that the customer is quite satisfied. Gap measurement results for all dimensions of -1.17 and a level of conformity of 96.51% indicate that the dimensions of reliability, assurance, tangible, empathy, responsiveness are still not in accordance with customer expectations with customer perceptions seen from the 5 dimensions of service quality. The lowest dimension is the tangible dimension with a gap of -5.70 and a suitability level of 78%. Therefore, the quality of service on the tangible dimension provided by the customer must be able to increase customer satisfaction, such as cleaning garbage and finding tools. Validity test with Gap Analysis with the results of the Pearson product moment validity test = valid. Reliability test by calculating Cronbach's Alpha with a reliability test result of 0.81 = quite high reliability.
Jenni Ria RajagukgukBoggi Aryo Wibowo

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/618

Covid-19 pandemic outbreak caused massive disruptions globally impacting border closure and lockdowns across all industries including the food industry. The Muslim community was not spared, with challenges in Halal validation/certification, from food security, supply chain and to proving a sustainable eco-system. Blockchain provides a digital tool to supplement a sustainable Halal validation, certification, and auditing of food from farm to fork. This is especially important, as the pandemic has shifted Muslim consumers to move online which created new challenges for the Halal authorities to support the Muslim community. Using a case study, Netnography was applied to qualitatively explore ‘Big Data’ from a current blockchain on the information of halal consumer behaviour during the pandemic. This study suggests that during Covid-19 lockdown and current pandemic circumstances, Halal consumers have shifted to greater online know-how. This crisis has highlighted a need for Halal issuing authorities to adopt new technologies, such as blockchain to provide better decision making for Muslim consumers in relation to Halal food.
Stephen SimIrwan Shah Bin Abdullah

https://proceeding.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ihsatec/article/view/619

The lack of guidance related to healthy and clean behavior towards the community in the boarding school by primary healthcare workers, which has stopped since the Covid-19 pandemic era, has caused the need to identify the risk of diseases that often affect students. The study aimed to identify the clean and healthy living behavior of pupils in Islamic boarding schools. A survey method was conducted on 97 pupils of Nurul Huda Islamic boarding school in Bandung regency by using the questionnaire of PHBS (perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat). They were recruited to fill out 18 items of a questionnaire of clean and healthy behavior with a total sampling strategy. Our finding indicated that participant was dominated by the age of 13-15 years old (58.76%), with female pupils greater than male pupils (60.82%:39.18%). Most of them are at the junior high school level (52.58%), followed by senior high school (37.11%) and elementary school (10.31%). The result of the study shows ablution before doing prayers, and the use of clean water are two habits that are very dominant among students. However, the habit of cleaning places that become mosquito nests and exercising are two habits that are still low, so they need to be improved. We summarize that clean and healthy living behaviors among students, in general, are quite good, and this reflects that they have implemented the behaviors expected by health workers in maintaining cleanliness and health.
Mia KusmiatiAlya TursinaMeta Maulida DamayantiAriko Rahmat Putra
